11-11-18-(celebrated on 11-12-18 this year) 20th annual Veterans’ Day celebration at the All Vets Club.
Veterans’ Day (celebrated on 11-12 this year) is the second most important patriotic day of the year. (Memorial Day is the first). It begins at the club with a free pancake breakfast (served by Sertoma and volunteers) (7-10) open to all, followed by a free soup luncheon and bingo. The evening celebration banquet starts with music by the Drum and Bugle Corp at 5:30 followed by the moving POW-MIA ceremony, door prizes and musical entertainment and a served banquet. This year we will honor Vietnam era veterans with a free meal. Cost for others will be $12 or $13. It is a celebration of patriotism and service ( past and present) to our country and our community. The non profit All Vets Club provides free meeting and social facilities for all area veteran organizations, their auxiliaries, our National Guard, several civic and service clubs as well as bridge and pinochle groups
