Birding for Kids

Kids and their families are invited to go on a birding adventure with Audubon Great Plains! In this outdoor program, kids will learn the basics of birdwatching, how to use binoculars (a limited number will be available for use, or bring your own), and search for different bird species as we go on a short walk near the Jamestown Arts Center. Kids must be accompanied by an adult. The event is free, but pre-registration is required.

About Audubon

The National Audubon Society protects birds and the places they need, today and tomorrow. Audubon works throughout the Americas using science, advocacy, education, and on-the-ground conservation. State programs, nature centers, chapters, and partners give Audubon an unparalleled wingspan that reaches millions of people each year to inform, inspire, and unite diverse communities in conservation action. A nonprofit conservation organization since 1905, Audubon believes in a world in which people and wildlife thrive. Audubon Great Plains is the North Dakota, South Dakota, and Nebraska state office of the National Audubon Society. Where birds thrive, people prosper – Audubon Great Plains aims to connect with communities throughout the Dakotas and Nebraska to demonstrate the importance of protecting and restoring native habitats for our bird species.
