Quilters of all ages are invited to join instructor Lindsay Ostlie on the farm for a class on cyanotype textile printing. Cyanotype is a photographic process that allows you to makes beautiful blue impressions with sunlight.
The featured project will be 8″X8″ cotton quilt squares. White and colored backgrounds will be available. Lindsay will give a brief overview of the process and some tips on pattern design, then students will be given the opportunity to gather imprint materials from around the farm or use some from the stash. Participants can make up to 10 quilt squares and a 5″X7″ practice paper.
Class is 2-3 hours and costs $35. Register in advance via facebook or by emailing ostlieacres@gmail.com.
