Virginia based conceptual and visual sculptor and fiber artist Patty Swygert debuts I AM BISON, a solo show created especially for the National Buffalo Museum. Inspired by the Museum’s Bison in Art 2019 juried art show, in which she participated, Patty has created over 30 two- and three- dimensional pieces celebrating the iconic National Mammal. Using a variety of materials and techniques, the works explore not only the bison’s majesty, but the peaks and lows in population, including recent restoration efforts.
I AM BISON is on view from November 27, 2020 to November 6, 2021.
