Come to the Cooper Theatre for a free showing of the new National Park Service film “Beneath the Plains”, a new history of the Cold War. The 30 minute film will be followed by a Q/A session with Oscar Zero Site Supervisor Rob Branting

Leave Your Mark: Oscar-Zero Anniversary poster giveaway All Day
Missileers, maintainers and those connected with the Minuteman missile pro-gram are encouraged to autograph special edition posters to be given away over the weekend at Oscar Zero A tent and tables will be available for those participating.
Minot Air Force Base UH-1N Huey Static Display Pending
Weather/Events permitting, a UH-1N Huey helicopter will travel to Oscar Zero. Crews will be available to answer questions regarding their work and the mission of missile site support helicopters.
Yard Games All Day
Outdoor games were played by above-ground support crewmembers to pass the time at Oscar-Zero. Come play games in Oscar-Zero’s big backyard! Bean bag toss, Horseshoes, Ladder-ball and other games will be available.
Cold War Comms: A walking tour 2:00PM and 4:00PM
Site Supervisor Robert Branting will conduct 15 minute walking tours of the antennas surrounding Oscar-Zero and discuss the importance of the evolution of communications redundancy at missile sites.
Friends of Oscar-Zero Re-organization Meeting 7:00PM
Griggs County Historical Museum
Supporters of the Ronald Reagan Minuteman Missile State Historic Site are encouraged to join in a reorganization meeting of our friends group. Cake and coffee will be available for guests.

Paper Rocket Countdown Early Afternoon
Oscar Zero’s “Launch Pads” will be available for kids to build, design and launch their own paper rockets. Two compressed-air launchers will fire these paper rockets at altitudes of up to 200 feet!

Former missileer Warren Tobin relates his experiences in the Air Force along with his role in the preservation of the Ronald Reagan Minuteman Missile State Historic Site.
